Sounds vaguely familiar, but I don't know why. Juno, perhaps?

Hey, you're right! All the Young Dudes is on the Juno soundtrack. You're swift, lady. I didn't even notice that when I watched the film.
But they're a great band. Listen to this:

It's their Greatest Hits one. That's the only one I've been able to find around here.

Hell, naturallyme, I'll be your friend. as long as you're not a self-professed rich girl who brags about private jets (I ran across someone like that today and rejected them). And I can relate! Within 20 hours of joining this site I was labeled dim witted, a fag, and an alter (whatever that means).

Aw, why not Orion? You can't deny the appeal of that Angry Itch movie.

(alter means someone who used to be under a different name but made a new one...usually, if it's used as an insult, it's implied that this new account was made to lose some bad reputation or similar motive.)
((and, yeah, people throw names around - doesn't mean anything.))

Wait, i thought we were talking about music, not movies.
There is plenty of stuff that i listen to that gets its roots from Glam Rock, and there is some glam rock that i do like, but for the most part, the older glam rock just isn't my bag.

I heard them mentioned in the lyrics of "Man on the Moon" by R.E.M. but that's about the extent of it.

You are also swift. I never heard that in R.E.M. Thanks! I'm kind of obsessed with them.

Yes, although I don't think I ever heard any of their music besides "All The Young Dudes". But that song certainly is a classic.
