In an ill fated attempt to save this thread, I will say antagonists

Antagonists, because protagonists always seem to win...

Antagonists, because they're a**holes.

i always feel bad for the antagonists.especially the cyclopes, i mean, im sure you'd be upset if you only had one eye and got it stabbed by a very small person who just crashed your island. i bet he was freaking hungry too!

(btw, im fully aware this post has nothing to do with anything)

The protagonists are way cooler.

The antagonists are much more interesting regardless if they are in mythology or Desperate Housewives.

The bad guys are really different and unique, but good guys like Hercules are really cool, too

I'm more interested in the protagonist, I've always admired people who stick to their guns, fight for what's right, and kick some ass.

The antagonists are always more interesting.

all the antagonists in the Odyssey were sooo much more interesting than Odysseus...they seemed to have more of a rounded personality, where he was just every good hero ever stuck in a blender. i couldn't help but feeling bad for most of them..all those chicks he slept with seemed so lonely...

Antagonists are more mysterious because they don't receive as much attention or as deep coverage in the mythology genre.

In Greek and Roman mythology I actually find the protagonists more interesting, like Theseus and Achilles. (Although I hate Hercules.)

The most awesome is Hector, of course! Now there's a hot piece of man. Have safe sex; do a Trojan.

I like how in these myths it isn't always clear if the main character(s) are good or bad. Like Zeus. Who can really say?

I actually sympathize better for antagonists. They usually have a motive, where protagonists are just do-gooder victims of everything.

both are interesting to me

Look at Norse Mythology. That's more like... They fight over controll over the world. No good guys there. Just the guys on "our side".

To me, it always seems that antagonists in most stories are more interesting. Protagonists always seem to be very similar in beliefs and way of thinking. Antagonists have more freedom of thought pattern and motivation.

I agree with koto. Antagonists are more interesting, almost more human, in a way. The protagonists usually seem too good to be human, if that makes sense.

There is less information on antagonists usually which makes me interested to know about their childhood/early life ect. to know why they are doing what they are
