If it sounds really interesting, it might put me off a little bit but I'll still read it. If it just sounds like an OK book I won't think it's worth it.

Not particularly.
But, I often won't choose to take an overly long book on vacation because I don't want to have to haul it around. And if the book doesn't have to do with work, these days I don't have time for it whether it is long or short.

No. I actually feel encouraged to read it. I end up challenging myself to read the entire thing. Short books put me off more than long books do.
