Listen to Keane. They replaced the guitar with a piano and that's the main instrument in the band. |

I hate listening to the piano. I can appreciate the musical talent and hard work that goes into mastering the piano. However, I cannot listen to the piano, without accompaniment by other instruments or voice, for more than 5 minutes without wanting to die of boredom. I just find absolutely nothing interesting about it. I would have to say it is one of my least favorite instruments to listen to.

I love it. Some of it is beautiful. I admit I find some very boring and repetitive in a not so good way, though.

Depends on the music, of course. I like my recordings of Artur Rubenstein playing Chopin, and Emil Gilels playing the Beethoven Piano Concertos with the Cleveland Symphony, but imagine an instrumental verison of rap, played on the piano, Yech!

Actually, no, I don't. The sound of the piano annoys me, I can't explain why. It just doesn't sound nice at all.
