Is it when a certain event happens in her life? Or at a certain age?
16 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 8/17/05 - 9:56:14 AM EST (GMT-5)
.. When she goes through puberty... I always seen a girl become a woman when she gets a period... but thats just me...

You know, I always thought that too. But I've realized, a girl can go through puberty at 11, 12, 13, and they are not women, they're still a child.

True.. I think its once they're mature in general... which usually happens during puberty.. like I myself am a 14 year old... but I consider myself more of a 'woman' than a 'girl'...

I'm not a girl, not yet a woman... (oh gosh, i'm quoting Britney!)

i think the real transformation to womanhood is sometime after the girl turns 18, you know, when a different kind of maturity sets in. You know, like when a person is maturing into an adult.

I've always associated women with Being adults, Ladies as teens and girls as children.

Does that makes sense?

I think that only two definitions is too vague.

A 14 year old may not be strictly a girl anymore, but she's not really a woman yet either....

...did I just quote Britney Spears?

I would say when they turn 18, or maybe when they move out of their parent's house.

Once she has gone through puberty

Complete sense.

According to Neil Diamond, soon.

I think we need more words for the different ages in someone's life.

When she meets me...

There are girls who go through puberty at age 9, but they're not women.

There's not really a clear-cut age where I finally consider a girl to be a woman. I think it's a combination of age and maturity.

Nah, crappily made cupcakes don't count as dinner.
16 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 8/17/05 - 10:36:09 PM EST (GMT-5)
I think it depends on the person. I'm 18 and still feel like a girl.
16 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 8/17/05 - 10:36:15 PM EST (GMT-5)
I should have worded it "When does the awkward stage between being a girl and being a woman end?"
