I'm just curious as to why THREE Eminem CDs made the list. I don't have a problem with Eminem... but surely in the history of music there were better CDs? I'd like to think so.

400. Illmatic - Nas I don't think Nas deserves a spot on the list. Period. Second of all, surely the Foo Fighters " The Colour And The Shape" should have made the list. I didn't see it on there but I wasn't looking very very closely. And cheers for having Coldplay! I anticipate their follow up even though I very seriously doubt they'll be able to make another album like this one.

The selections are good, but the placements are way off. Why is Pet Sounds way up at #2? It's a very good album but not that good. The Rolling Stones "Exile on Main Street" sucked, yet it's at #7. "Sticky Fingers" was way better. Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" is at #43. That should have been at #2. Led Zeppelin IV could be at #3 instead of #66 which is an insult. Van Halen's first album is at #415. That is obscene. Pink Floyd's first album "Piper at the Gates of Dawn" written mostly by Syd Barrett is a classic album. One of the best ever made. But for some reason they put it way down at number 347. Yikes!

On the most part, no. But I still voted 'Yes'. Because, unlike so many other top album lists, they thought of influential albums. So, in other words, it's not great, but it's better than most. And I'm a sucker for the Beatles.

Why are so many Beatles albums on the list? On why so high for that matter? Some were good but some didn't deserve high rankings....Dark Side of the Moon and Zeppelin IV should have been way higher.

Pretty much, no. I agree about Eminem: why do all the critics kiss his ass? Don't get it. And No Doubt's Rock Steady? That's got to be a joke, right?

How many people actually selected the albums, or maybe the job was downloaded to the mail room. Who knows. If this list was created by people voting online, then maybe it would reflect the peoples feelings more. Also if the idea was influential albums then they might be different. I saw a poll that put Louis Armstrong wonderful world as the song of the century.

There's no iron maiden. NONE, not 1 album on the entire list. And Metallica's first appearance was 167. 167! This sucks.

I was surprised at the Beatles albums on the list. They listed so many, however Magical Mystery Tour wasn't on there. In my opinion Magical Mystery Tour is the best Beatles album. (except maybe the White Album) I certainly would have put it on the list.

of course no one's ever gonna agree with the list. music seems more divided and fought over than politics AND religion
