Yeah, at work I have to do that with wines. With reds, I just say the expensive ones "have less of a bite", and the flavor is "subtler". With whites, I tell the old people to get pinot grigios and the young people to get chardonnays. It's so f-cking ridiculous, all of it. I have no idea what I'm talking about, but people eat it up, they really do.

I also have pretty big spots in knowledge about wars and US presidents, and I try to get around those obstacles, particularly in Trivial Pursuit. It sounds pretty comical.

On a daily basis, about pooters, I am a bit of a technophobe to be honest.

I have tried to pretend I had great knowledge of cars, stocks, trading, and the real estate market to comical effect. It just does not work around people in the know.

I end up looking like George Costanza.
