I fail to see any meaningful impact behind this.

Oh no, a pregnant woman can't go to the beach without getting oil all over her. What a tragedy.

What about the animals that LIVE in the ocean? Sure, it's unfortunate that people can't go to the beach in the oil spill area for at LEAST another year or so, but is going to the beach really that important?

Of all the horrible things that this oil spill has caused, including massive death of wildlife and plant life, destruction of the local ecosystem, and devastating effects on the fishing industry that many people in Louisiana have relied on for their sole source of income, not be able to go to the beach is not one of them.

To me, it lost some of the impact because it looks more like someone smeared chocolate pudding all over them. It doesn't look like an oil mishap.

I hope BP goes to hell for this. Not the hard labors, but the CEOs.

you have a major point. my family and i went to Alabama for vacation before oil hit the beach. and the whole time i was more worried about the animals then the poeple who couldnt swim on the beaches. people are just selfesh sometimes. especailly BP
