Trans people:
Gender is a social construct

Also trans people:
Use the phrases trans-masculine and trans feminine.

Trans people:
Gender is fluid

Also trans people:
Tend to meticulously stick to gender stereotypes when transitioning/transitioned.
Cannot not grasp the concept of just being a feminine man or masculine woman.

Trans people:
Talk about women rights

Also trans people:
Claim femininity as supreme submissiveness, self-sexualization, and self-degredation OR
Disown menstrual periods and the female body as something inferior

Compete in sports against women who fought for the right to play those sports, and beat them hard due to their testosterone.

It makes me uncomfortable because I think Carl Jung is a blasphemous idiot.

Carl Jung was the idea of sexual identity as core to identity and there being a fluid gender expression. He was the expanding and contracting inner psychological spirit idea as opposed to the calculated and fleshly psychoanalysis of Freud. Jung got all of these spirituality and sexuality energies bullsh*t labeled as actual psychology.

Itís half baked theological fantasies of the human mind and the divine somehow being magically entwined.

We have a trans guy at work.. Started work as a girl, then changed their name and all that..

Except 'he' still wears makeup and jewelry and dresses female.. That bit confuses me... If he wants to be male, that's fine, but be male..

I mean maybe the chemical hormonal imbalances could be construed as spiritual energies? Maybe Jung influenced psychoactive drug treatment without understanding the chemistry of the human brain?

Nope. A cursory reading implies that Jung thought manipulating yourself chemically was a suppression of the human spirit.

Freud experimented on himself with cocaine to see if it would help a friend overcome a morphine addiction.

Again Carl Jung is everything that is wrong with psychology.

I dunno- - it seems that makeup and jewelry are for everyone these days. It's not necessarily a 'female' thing anymore.

I really think this is making a lot general statements about a topic you don't actually seem to know a lot about. So much so that when I first saw this I thought it was a copy pasta or something.

Everyone's experience with gender is different and complex which is why there are many differing opinions in the LGBT community. Which isn't a bad thing really.

I don't want to argue with you either because I don't think any good will come from that, but this is the type of post that would be passed around for laughs with my fellow young gays

I have a trans friend who is a drag queen, after he had some issues and had to get help from his local council hee ended up acting as an adviser to them because most of the council workers didn't have a clue about dealing with GLBT people. He would get a phone call asking to speak to Miss Ritzy and and would say, no I'm Richard at the moment. He's say to me What part of Trans do they not understand?

personally i don't care if you're transgender, you can make up a gender off the top of your head and call yourself that nowadays. i think a lot of people put too much stock into this kind of thing, all that really matters is if you're a good person.
